Hi Friends,
My name is Chiara Poscente. Born and raised an Alberta girl, I currently reside in Northern Colorado with my hunky cowboy husband and our menagerie of beautiful animals. Basically, I’m living the dream I have wanted since I spoke my second word… ”Horse”. As a city kid, horses started out existing for me in that beautiful space of imagination between fantasy and reality. I knew they were out there, I just didn’t know how to get to them. Out of sheer tenacity, I managed to finagle my way into a birthday trail ride followed by pony camp then weekly lessons that turned into a lease and eventually, a horse of my very own.
During my formative years, I successfully trained and competed under many big names through upper levels in Three Day Eventing and Show Jumping and I accumulated many fancy human accolades. While I am proud of these achievements, there came a point in my journey where I began to recognized the troubles of the ridden horse (and rider) and have since spent my days and many nights dedicated to the pursuit of becoming Centaur.
For the last decade, my passion has been in working with equines to help them develop their minds and bodies in a way that cultivates functional movement and posture, a love of their job and trust in their Guardians. I love helping my human students discover the parts of themselves that honor their spirit and the spirit of their equine partner. I offer a holistic approach to horse care and connection with a focus on nervous system health, communication and biomechanics for horse and human.
I am available for 1:1 in person sessions, virtual sessions and clinics
While there are several hats that I wear pertaining to my specialties, I have discovered that I am allergic to taking any one of them off. Which is to say, while the “what’s” I have to offer may be considered idyllic on their own, nothing is available truly a la carte. Working with me means that you’ll receive the entire package, and my lifetime of experience will serve to help your horse guide our focus on that given day in that given moment.
